KFP Architects specializes in the Planning, Design and Construction Management of Multi-Family Residential Housing Developments. The firm has designed over 5,000 housing units throughout the Northeast. Projects have varied in size and complexity from small two family houses to new neighborhood developments of ten units or more; village complexes of 25 to 250 units and high-rise buildings of several hundred units.

Properties have consisted of Affordable and Elderly Housing in both the private and public sectors; and can include Apartment Complexes and Condominium Developments consisting of new construction and additions, comprehensive renovations, modernization, reha- bilitation and historic preservation.

Our Multi-Family Housing planning, design and construction services are extensive. Our firm is capable of providing he following services:

  • Master Plan Site Development Studies - Identifies site development potential and build out possibilities with phasing options.
  • Site & Property Assessments - Review of current or proposed properties to be acquired for new development. Analysis of zoning regulations and environmental issues relative to permitting. Soil Analysis for suitability of sewage disposal systems and building structures. Feasibility Analysis of potential renovations & expansions of existing properties.
  • Programming - Review of overall space needs & development of unit sizes and project square footages.
  • Conceptual Design Package - Development of Design Sketches illustrating alternative design options consisting of site plans, floor plans and elevations depicting the project.
  • Presentation Materials - Graphic promotional materials consisting of Renderings, Unit Plans, Scale Models for Sales Brochures, presentations to local authorities & Financing Sources.
  • Project Budgeting - Development of cost proforma for the project including construction; interim financing; engineering fees; equipment and furnishings.
  • Construction Documents - Preparation of plans & specifications identifying the work of all trades of the construction project.
  • Construction Phase - Implementation of your plan to the final completion of your construction project. We can work with your construction resources or ours (through our affiliated company - KFP Construction Management).
  • Condominium Documents - As built measured survey drawings for submission to the Registry of Deeds.
